Mi5 Networks Appoints Denise Sandoval

Emerging Leader in Web Security Gateway Market Fills Out Management Team with Veteran Finance Executive
SUNNYVALE, Calif., March 17, 2008 — Mi5 Networks, the web security gateway company, today announced the appointment of Denise Sandoval as vice president of finance. Sandoval brings to Mi5 Networks more than 20 years of experience managing finance and operations for networking and telecommunications companies from start-up to acquisition. She assumes responsibility for managing the company’s finance, accounting, legal, information technology, and human resources functions.

Sandoval joins Mi5 Networks from Calient Networks, a maker of telecommunications equipment, where she was vice president of finance and administration. She managed the accounting, legal, IT, and human resources functions, set up international offices, and consolidated subsidiaries. Prior to Calient, Sandoval was Controller of Photuris, a maker of optical networking equipment, where she developed and managed a five year operating plan. Previously, she was Controller for AccessLan Communications where she built the company’s entire financial infrastructure, directed and managed cash flow, the financial operating plan, and directed financial operations through the company’s acquisition by Advanced Fibre Communications (AFC). Prior to AccessLan, Sandoval managed the financial functions at Applied Signal Technology, MadenTech Consulting, and Network Equipment Technologies (N.E.T.) Federal. Sandoval holds a B.S. in Finance from the University of Colorado, Boulder, and a CPA certificate through the Commonwealth of Virginia.
